Museo LagOmar
Museo LagOmar (Calle Los Loros 2, Nazaret, Teguise) – this architectural curiosity (“Casa Omar Sharif”) – built into the cliffs of the quarry of Nazaret (containing natural labyrinths and caves) — was once owned by the famed Hollywood actor Omar Sharif, who bought the property after making a film in Lanzarote during the early 1970s. Surprisingly, Sharif lost it in a bet playing bridge son after moving into it.
This site, which acts as a restaurant, bar, and museum, demonstrates how to harmoniously integrate architecture into a volcanic landscape without destroying it. Cultural events are occasionally held here. Admission: €6 per person. Hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (daily).
