La Chalanita

La Chalanita (Av. Maritima 73, Playa Blanca) – the name is this restaurant, which means “rowing boat” in Spanish, reflects its seafood-centric menu. La Chalanita’s owners Jose and Roman apply their knowledge of the best suppliers in Lanzarote to bring their diners the freshest meat and fish. The menu has been kept simple but of the highest quality with such delights as Uga smoked salmon, roast baby lamb shoulder, duck confit with figs sauce, chateaubriand, Norway lobster, white prawns from Huelva, sea bass loins in cava, Iberian pork fillet with boletus and foie sauce, various fillet steak dishes, rice with angler-fish and lobster hot-pot, red tuna fish with glazed onions and soya sauce, and of course the freshest fish caught locally. In addition, La Chalanita offers exceptional views across the water to Fuerteventura, as well as breathtaking views of the Marina Rubicon.
